The first phase of the 134th Canton Fair ended on October 19. The first phase focused on 19 exhibition areas in 5 major sections: electronic home appliances, industrial manufacturing, vehicles and two-wheelers, lighting and electrical, and hardware tools, with 10,611 offline exhibitors. Among them, 210 exhibitors are from 28 countries and regions.

According to a person in charge of the Canton Fair, the first phase was extremely popular and grand, and the overall operation was safe and orderly. Overseas buyers enthusiastically attended the fair, exhibitors were enthusiastic, on-site negotiations were active, and service guarantees were strong and effective, making this Canton Fair a “good start.”

Scale expansion structure optimization

This year’s Canton Fair has optimized the exhibition structure. In the first phase, the scale of the mechanical and electrical products exhibition area such as home appliances, consumer electronics, machinery and new energy has increased significantly by about 3,000 booths, an increase of more than 18%. Provide exhibition opportunities for more high-tech and high-value-added enterprises to exhibit more innovative, high-end, smart, and green products. Among them, the scale of the new energy exhibition area has increased by 172%, which will further help expand the export of new technology products and promote the development of emerging advantageous industries.

Overseas buyers enthusiastically attended the fair

As of October 19, more than 100,000 overseas purchasers had attended the conference offline, coming from 210 countries and regions around the world. The number of attendees increased significantly compared with the same period of the 133rd session. Exhibitors generally believe that overseas buyers are more willing to place orders and are expected to achieve more cooperation in the future. Among them, there were nearly 70,000 buyers from countries jointly building the “Belt and Road Initiative”, an increase of 65.2% over the same period of the 133rd session. The Canton Fair has achieved remarkable results in promoting smooth trade among countries jointly building “the Belt and Road Initiatives”.

The online platform operates smoothly

Exhibiting companies have uploaded more than 2.7 million exhibits on the Canton Fair official website, including more than 700,000 new products. Since September 16, the cumulative number of visitors has been 6.67 million, with overseas visitors accounting for 86%. The online platform operates safely and smoothly.

Wonderful trade promotion activities

This Canton Fair has successfully held a total of 40 “Trade Bridge” global trade docking activities, organizing precise docking between suppliers and buyers. 177 new product launches and first exhibitions were held. The Canton Fair Design Innovation Award (CF Award) exhibited 141 award-winning products in 2023 online and offline, of which the offline showroom attracted nearly 1,500 visits every day. 71 design companies from 6 countries and regions participated in the Canton Fair Product Design and Trade Promotion Center (PDC).

The Canton Fair will be held in three phases. The second phase will be held from October 23 to 27, focusing on three major sections and 15 exhibition areas: household products, gifts and decorations, and building materials and furniture. There are 9,674 offline exhibitors, and the import exhibition has 202 exhibitors from 29 countries and regions.
